In September 2008, The first annual Naperville Independent Film Festival will take place. Features, shorts, screenplays, and short stories will judged and showcased throughout with the main events scheduled to take place in the new 29 million dollar North Central College Concert Hall and Fine Arts Center.
The goal of this event is to promote, encourage, and inspire the next great film makers while creating a fun, entertaining atmosphere for the general public. The juried contest for film makers is open to any person, Worldwide. Contestants can apply by filling out an application online at this Web site, starting October 1, 2007.
The Naperville Independent Film Festival is being presented by the Arthur Ray Foundation, which is a Naperville-based non-profit organization focused on improving lives through the Arts and Technology. Proceeds will go back into the Naperville community to help struggling artists, musicians, filmmakers and other creative individuals reach their goals.
